Mrs Lister writes…

I was inspired to write this blog post by the lovely English Mum who did a similar post last year called ‘Around  the web in 20 clicks: in praise of bloggers’. She linked out to 20 fantastic blog posts from a whole range of bloggers – foodies, mums, photography, travel – it was a really interesting read and introduced me to a load of blogs I’d never have found otherwise.

And so now I give to you 10 of my favourite blog posts, on my favourite blogs, from the past few months. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did! =)

• Well I had to start with her considering she inspired me to write this but if there is one thing English Mum knows how to do it’s make me drool. She baked these salted caramel double chocolate cupcakes to ease her through a recent crisis…
• Bangs over at Bangs And A Bun caused a mini Twitter uproar when she commented that she ‘found it offensive when an overweight person teaches an exercise class’ – here she explains the reasoning behind her comment…
• My friend Caroline always finds the quirky and cool in London – here she discovers and photographs The Camden Coffee Shop You can almost smell the coffee!
• I’m struggling to pick just one of Christina’s blog posts – her Fashion’s Most Wanted blog is probably the one I read most frequently – she has a mannequin called Tallulah and the most ferocious Ebay habit of any blogger I’ve even encountered…
• My friends over at Hungry Hollowaiians are in the midst of a fantastic food swap experiment with their neighbours  – each week they all take it in turns to cook a new dish which is then rated for ease/value for money etc etc. These sweet corn tamale cakes with tequila, honey and citrus chicken sound bloody amazing!
• Yet another drool-worthy post now from Food Stories – one of my favourite foodie blogs. In this post Helen describes her visit to Spuntino in Soho with such detail I was dreaming about truffled eggy bread for weeks…
• In this post Liz explains why she refuses to bet on the Grand National – something I agree with wholeheartedly…
• Great team effort from NotSupermum, BubbleCow and Caroline Smailes on ‘How To Embarrass Your Teenager’ that had me snorting water out of my nostrils. LOL OMG ROFL!!
• Disneyrollergirl brought the next post to my attention – normally I wouldn’t be reading a blog called Ivy Style as I’m not the biggest fan of the preppy look but ‘Boyfriend Jacket: The Vassar Girl and the Ivy League Look is a fascinating glimpse into an unknown world…
• This next one isn’t really a blog but I had to include it. I could literally spend HOURS on Damn You Auto Correct. HOURS I TELL YOU.

I’m off to the Peak Disctrict on Sunday for a lovely week of rambling, ale drinking and pork pie eating. See you all in May.
